Dr. Maryam Hashem
Bringing industry and academic experience, Dr. Maryam Hashem serves as an Assistant Professor of Human Resources Management at AUBH.
AREAS OF EXPERTISE
She has been a certified project management professional (PMP) since 2015, with an active license awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI) in the US. Prior to joining AUBH, Dr. Maryam worked as the Head of Initiatives at the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Early in her career, she worked as a Financial Analyst at the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Bahrain (TRA).
During her academic journey, Dr. Maryam taught multiple courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She has also taught professional training courses to employees from various sectors and higher education institutions, including the University of Bahrain (UOB), Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), and University College of Bahrain (UCB).
With an interest in organizational behavior, employees’ motivation, and creativity, Dr. Maryam has published several papers in reputable journals.
Dr. Hashem has a Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance from Bangor University (United Kingdom), an MBA degree from DePaul University (Chicago), and a Ph.D. from Brunel University London in Management Studies Research, with research focused on human resource management.
